Spontaneous Prayer Blessing for A Couple in An Irregular Relationship- A Proposal

Instead of spreading hate and conspiracy theories, personal opinions, denial, rejection of the document released by the Vatican, I composed prayer whenever a same-sex couple or other couple who are in an irregular relationship who are ask for a blessing from a priest spontaneously.

Here it is:

Lord, we ask for your guidance and wisdom to be upon this couple as they embark on their journey together. May their love be a reflection of your love for us, selfless and unconditional. Grant them the grace to always seek you first in all aspects of their lives, finding strength and solace in your presence.

Bless them with patience and understanding, that they may support and encourage one another in times of joy and sorrow. May their home be a sanctuary of peace, where your Holy Spirit dwells, guiding them in all their decisions and endeavors.

We pray for a deepening of their faith, that they may grow together in spiritually. Strengthen their commitment to live out the teachings of the Gospel, and may their lives be a testimony to your grace and mercy. May they be a shining example of a holy and loving friendship, reflecting the light of Christ to those around them.

Grant them the wisdom to discern the sacredness of their body, recognizing it as a temple of the your Spirit created in your image and likeness. May they honor this vessel, treating it with respect and using it solely for the purpose you have intended from the beginning. Help them to resist the temptations that seek to compromise the purity of their being.

Lord, purify their heart and mind from impure thoughts and lustful desires. Strengthen them in moments of weakness, that they may choose the path of holiness over the fleeting pleasures of the world. May the fire of your love burn brightly within them, consuming any impurities and leaving only a fervent desire to follow your holy ways.

Through the intercession of St. Thomas Aquinas and Mary the Mother of God, I bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
