About

You might be able to think that it is impossible for all Christians to be united in faith. That is not the way Christian thinks. You are considering yourself as a non-Christian. How it is possible for all Christians to be united in One Faith? The formula is simple. We participate and be in communion to the One Body of Christ. Christ himself prayed for this unity.

They are not of the world, as I also am not of the world. Sanctify them in truth. Thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for them do I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. And not for them only do I pray, but for them also who through their word shall believe in me; That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, as we also are one.

(St. John 17:16-22)

Interestingly, even during the time of the apostles, Saint Paul’s appealed to the Corinthians to preserve unity in the church.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?

(1 Corr 1:10-13)

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, One faith, One baptism. (Eph 4:4-5)

The purpose of this blog is to invite all Christians to participate in the dialogue, and discussions. Not only in this blog but also in some other blogs with the same objective. We are sure that there are several topics which we may not agree and each of us is claiming the truth and pointing to each other as false teacher. Let us practice what we preach by loving and respecting each others’ opinion. However, most of the time our opinion may not necessarily points to the Truth – who is Jesus Christ. Let the Truth finds us thru His Church who is the pillar and bulwark of the truth (1 Tim 3:15). Let us follow what Saint Paul did when there was a discussion and disagreement about circumcision being a prerequisite of salvation. Together with the apostles, they convened and declared what is truth. This is the attitude which Jesus has taught us.

But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

(Matt 18:16-17).

Who else we should listen to if not to the Church which our Lord Jesus has founded?
